Title
Hawaiian Storm
Artist

Description
When I visited Hawaii a few years ago, I was fortunate to have not seen these foreboding clouds. I did take a nice photo of the ocean on a sunny day, (on the South Shore, I think) which I used as model for the waves. The clouds themselves were actually modeled from a photograph I took in Colorado. With the sunlight behind us, and the clouds looming overhead, this is one of my favorite pieces, because it juxtaposes both the serenity of the Hawaiian ocean with that strange exhilaration before a coming storm.
